Padova, Veneto
RossovermiglioArt Gallery

A contemporary art gallery in Padua’s historic Ghetto dedicated to advancing recognition of undervalued modern and contemporary artists.

At a glance

RossovermiglioArt operates as a focused venue for twentieth-century abstraction and kinetic art. The gallery champions artists who merit greater institutional and market visibility, from GRAV pioneers to contemporary practitioners. Its programming reflects a curatorial commitment to direct engagement with artists and their legacies.

History

Founded in 2002 by Michela Zilio, the gallery opened in the Paduan Ghetto with an exhibition dedicated to GRAV, featuring the presence of artist Julio Le Parc. This inaugural gesture set the tone for the gallery’s mission: promoting historicized artists deserving wider recognition.

In 2007, RossovermiglioArt relocated to Via Palestro, expanding its exhibition program with solo presentations by A. Perilli, A. Biasi, P. Gilardi, and G. Laveri. Giancarlo Zilio joined his sister in 2013, revitalizing the exhibition schedule with shows by R. Aricò, T. Stefanoni, E. Bonamini, H.J. Glattfelder, P. Scirpa, and A. Garutti.

What you see

The gallery occupies a contemporary space designed to showcase twentieth-century abstraction, kinetic art, and modern painting. Its venue on Via Palestro provides an intimate setting for solo and thematic exhibitions.

Cultural significance

RossovermiglioArt serves a vital role in Padua’s cultural ecology by advocating for artists historically underrepresented in major institutions. By presenting works by G. Mathieu, Christo, V. Vasarely, D. Beacheler, and P. Halley alongside direct documentation and artist interviews, the gallery creates conditions for reassessment and deeper understanding of modernist practice.
