◈ The CHO map — live

This is the map your guests will see

Below is the CHO heritage map as it runs today, populated with documented sites from the archive. Your version will be centred on your venue with a pin, and the 10 schede nearest to you visible in the cluster.

↑ Interact with this map. Points are real CHO schede — click any pin to open the heritage scheda.

◈ What your map includes

Centred on your venue — every pin is a documented scheda

Your venue pin

Your property marked at the centre with a dedicated label. Visitors see immediately where you are in relation to the heritage cluster.

10 heritage pins

Each of the 10 schede published for you appears as a pin. Clicking any pin opens the full CHO scheda in a new tab.

Walking / driving distances

The map shows realistic distances from your venue, helping guests plan a day around the nearby heritage.

Embeddable on your website

CHO provides an <iframe> snippet. Paste it into any page, email, or booking confirmation. No plugin, no API key, no maintenance.

◈ Embedding it on your website

One copy-paste. Works everywhere.

After your map is published, CHO sends you a short embed snippet — it looks like this:

<!– Paste this where you want the CHO map to appear –>
<iframe
  src=“https://culturalheritageonline.com/map/?pin=your-venue-slug
  width=“100%” height=“400”
  style=“border:none;”
  loading=“lazy”>
</iframe> EMBED CODE

Works in WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, plain HTML — anywhere an iframe is allowed. The map is hosted on CHO servers; you do not need to install anything or maintain it.

◈ Questions

Frequently asked

Is the map mobile-friendly?
Yes. The CHO map is built with Leaflet.js and works on all screen sizes, including iPhone and Android. It uses touch-pinch zoom and tap-to-open pins.
Does the map update automatically if new schede are added?
Yes. The map pulls from the live CHO archive. If new schede are added near your venue in the future, they appear on the map automatically. You do not need to update the embed code.
Can I request specific points to be included?
You can suggest points during the onboarding brief. The CHO team will confirm whether they qualify for the archive (heritage relevance, verifiable sources). If they do, they can be among your 10 schede.
What if my website does not allow iframes?
If your platform does not support iframes (rare, but possible with some website builders), CHO can provide a direct link to the map filtered to your area. It opens as a full CHO page rather than embedded — still useful, still linkable from your “Getting here” or “Around us” page.
