Overview
The Casa de la Vall (House of the Valley) in Andorra la Vella is the historic parliament building of Andorra, built in 1580 and used as the General Council (parliament) of the Pyrenean microstate for over 400 years. Andorra is a co-principality governed by two co-princes: the Bishop of Urgell and the President of France, a medieval arrangement still in force. The Casa de la Vall is now a museum after parliament moved to a new building in 2011; it houses the original Council chamber, the famous Armari de les Set Claus (Cabinet of the Seven Keys), and relics of the feudal system that preserved Andorran independence for 715 years.
