Pasquale Michetti, father of the artist Vicentino, built this structure on commission from his cousins Camillo and Vicenza. The site replaced the earlier Politeama Aternino, a smaller theater that once served the city. Construction began in 1910, but the building remained incomplete throughout the twentieth century. Restoration work commenced in 2016 with hopes of finally fulfilling the original vision, yet legal disputes brought those efforts to an end in 2020.
