Azzano Decimo
Azzano Decimo is a comune in the Pordenone area of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in the north-east of the country. It lies on the plain about 11 kilometres south-east of Pordenone and roughly 90 kilometres north-west of Trieste, the regional capital. The town is one of the more populous municipalities of its province.

Overview
Azzano Decimo is a municipality in the regional decentralization entity of Pordenone, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It sits on the low plain south-east of Pordenone and north-west of Trieste. With a recorded population of more than 13,000 and an area of around 51 square kilometres, it is among the larger comuni of the area.
History
The settlement’s name preserves a reference to its position along an ancient Roman road, the suffix “Decimo” marking the tenth mile from a reference point in the Roman centuriation of the Friulian plain. Over the centuries the area belonged to the Patriarchate of Aquileia and later passed under Venetian influence, sharing the history of the wider Friulian lowlands.
