A contemporary art gallery spanning three decades of painting, sculpture, installation, and photography in the heart of Naples.

At a glance

Alfonso Artiaco Gallery presents works across multiple media, tracing a curatorial arc from 1986 to 2016. The gallery has established itself as a significant venue for contemporary art in the Campania region, moving through several locations as its programme expanded.

History

The gallery opened in 1986 at Corso Nicola Terracciano in Pozzuoli, marking the beginning of sustained engagement with contemporary art in the area. In 1995, it relocated to Via Mameli, also in Pozzuoli, before returning to Corso Terracciano two years later in 1997.

Expansion to Naples came in 2003, when the gallery moved to Piazza dei Martiri. The current location at Piazzetta Nilo represents the latest chapter in this geographic and curatorial evolution, reflecting the gallery’s growing prominence in the regional art scene.
