Ten heritage places in one September loop through the Netherlands: the canal ring of Amsterdam and the fort lines that defended it, heritage Haarlem and the Beemster polder; the great pumping station of Friesland and the reclaimed island of Schokland in the water country; then Rietveld’s house in Utrecht, the windmills of Kinderdijk, the Van Nelle factory in Rotterdam and old Delft.
