Andorra has no UNESCO sites, but the Catalan Romanesque Churches of the Vall de Boí lie 100 km southwest and the Pyrenees-Mont Perdu landscape 200 km east — both reachable as day trips.
San Marino is itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site — the medieval centre and three summit towers of Monte Titano, seat of the world’s oldest surviving constitutional republic, inscribed in 2008.
From Astana, reach two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Timurid Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi at Turkestan (1 hr flight) and the Saryarka flamingo steppe (3 hr drive).
