Nystrom’s 1906 Rotunda annexe coils six iron storeys of stacks – Jugend engineering behind the temple front.
History
The Imperial Alexander University’s library (czars funded the splendour – the Slavonic collection a世界 resource by their deposit) became independent Finland’s memory; Kalevala’s manuscripts and Sibelius’ scores archive identity. The 2010s restoration returned Engel’s colours and the cupola hall’s light to readers and the concerts the acoustics earn.
