History
The structure dates to approximately 1800 BC, during the early Bronze Age. It belongs to a notable cluster of three major dolmens in the Antequera region; the other two—Dolmen of Menga and Dolmen de Viera—lie to the southwest. In 2016, all three were designated together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the collective name Antequera Dolmens Site, recognising their outstanding universal value as a unified megalithic complex.
