You already publish your walks, and people already find them. This is what changes when they are listed inside an archive that travellers read before they book, and what the Organiser plan adds to the free listing.

1. What the free listing does

Publishing an event here is free, has no ceiling, and does not ask for a card. Your walk goes into the archive, appears on the map, and sits on the city page people read while they are planning a trip. The free listing is not a trial: it is not taken away if you never pay.

What you get without paying is distribution, not software. Nobody has to change their website, install anything, or move their season to a new platform. You describe the event, choose the place, put a date on it, and it exists in a place that is indexed by search engines and read by travellers.

Today the archive holds 16,968 documented places, 6,341 cities, 5,635 events and 98 itineraries (figures measured on 22 October 2026). Those are the shelves your event goes on.

The map is the part that matters most for a walk: a reader who is already in the city sees your event where they are, not in a list sorted by date.

2. What the Organiser plan adds

The Organiser plan is 149 dollars a year. It does not buy permission to exist in the archive: that is free. It buys four things.

Your own till, and no cut. You sell tickets where you already sell them: on your own site, on your booking engine, on the platform you use today. The event page carries the link to your ticket page, and the booking link and the “what to see nearby” box work on your own site with a line to paste. We take no cut of the tickets you sell, wherever you sell them. We are building our own till; when it is ready it will be one more option, not a condition.

A permanent organiser page. Your programme, your dates, your story, in one page that answers a traveller before they write to you. It is the difference between a listing that disappears after the date and a place that accumulates.

Your name on every listing. Your name, your logo and your booking link on each of your events, so a reader who finds one walk can find the next one.

Everything in Operator PRO. The place page, the photographs with credit, and the route with a GPX file your guests follow on their phone.

There is also a line in the newsletter when your next dates are worth telling people about, and a quarterly report: what was published, the words people searched to find it, the visits your own analytics can verify.

3. What it costs, and what it does not

One price, 149 dollars a year, paid at signup. We take no cut of the tickets you sell elsewhere. Your ticket prices, your capacity and your refund rules stay yours.

What it does not cost: your website, a new booking engine, a monthly subscription to a directory, or a share of the tickets you sell somewhere else.

4. Why it fits next to your own website

You keep your site. The event page lives here, and the “what to see nearby” box and the booking link work on your site with a line to paste.

For a small organisation this matters more than it sounds. The alternative is a page that only your regulars see, on a site nobody finds. Here the page inherits the context of the place: the building, the neighbourhood, the other heritage around it.

5. What we ask you

Five things: a title, a description of five to ten lines, the dates and times, the place, and a photograph with the name of who took it. The public form has no separate credit field, so write the name in the description: a photograph without a credit cannot be used. If you sell tickets elsewhere, the link. You can write in your own language: the form offers an English version you can read and correct before publishing.

6. What we do not promise

We do not promise that your walk will be first on Google, or that a listing sells tickets by itself. We promise the things written on the product page: the listing, the map, the city pages, the organiser page, the quarterly report, and the pointer to your till.

Frequently asked questions

Is the free listing a trial?

No. It has no ceiling and no card, and it is not taken away if you never pay.

What if I already sell on another platform?
