About Aldo Carpi
Aldo Carpi (1886–1973) was a Milanese painter and writer who studied at the Brera Academy and began exhibiting at the Venice Biennale in 1912, thereafter participating in nearly every edition until his death. In the 1920s, he developed his distinctive style under the influence of 19th-century Italian landscape painting. Marine subjects and Venetian views were characteristic of his artistic production.
