History
Designed between 1923 and 1924 by Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, the villa was commissioned as a family residence on the Swiss shores of Lake Geneva. The project offered the architects an opportunity to test modernist principles in domestic architecture. In 2016, the house was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognising its role in architectural history.
