Overview

The Teatro Scientifico — Teatro/Laboratorio is a permanent theatre production body recognised by the ministry, at work since 1968. It founded and directs the Teatro Laboratorio of Verona, in Piazza Arsenale.

History

Its production leans towards contemporary Italian playwriting and towards civic, social and community theatre; it also reinterprets classical texts, runs artistic and training projects, and organises seasons, events and the festival Non c’è differenza.

It keeps a section for anthropological study and research on the Commedia dell’Arte, and holds the archive of the Teatro Scientifico — Teatro Laboratorio.

In 2011 the section Nuove Officine Cinematografiche was opened, for the production of film and audiovisual work.
