History
The site gained official recognition in 1994 when it was inscribed on the World Heritage List alongside Riversleigh in Queensland, acknowledging the exceptional palaeontological value of its cave systems. What you see
The caves contain spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, testament to thousands of years of mineral-rich water seeping through limestone. The formations vary in scale and delicacy across the chambers. Twenty-eight known caves exist within the park in total, though access is limited to preserve their scientific and physical integrity.
