Oxford Open Doors 2026: the city unlocked for a weekend
For one weekend in September, Oxford opens the doors it usually keeps shut. Oxford Open Doors, run by the Oxford Preservation Trust, returns on 12 and 13 September 2026, and everything in it is free.
The 2025 edition put nearly 150 sites on the map: colleges, university buildings, community venues, and workshops where heritage trades are still practised. It is a weekend built for walking, and the crowd is as much local as visiting.
