Jakab’s Palace: Inside and Out

MiC Košice — Potulky mestom has opened the city’s closed monuments to visitors since 2004, telling the stories behind buildings people usually pass without entering. Their January programme takes one of Košice’s most private landmarks and shows it inside and out.

Over several days in January the Jakab’s Palace — Peter Jakab’s neo-Gothic house of 1899, built with stone salvaged from the Cathedral of St Elizabeth — is toured from the street façade to the rooms behind it, the parts most passers-by only ever see from the corner.
