Game of Thrones — King Landing at Dubrovnik (2011-2019)

HBO’s Game of Thrones (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, 2011-2019) used Dubrovnik’s Old Town as King’s Landing across all eight seasons. The Pile Gate served as the city’s main entrance. The Stradun appeared in dozens of street scenes. The city walls served as the walls of the Red Keep; the walk between the Bokar Tower and the Pile Gate was used for the “Walk of Shame” sequence in Season 5. Fort Lovrijenac served as the exterior of the Red Keep in Seasons 1 and 2. The old harbour doubled as Blackwater Bay. The Dominican Monastery cloister became the House of the Undying.
