On September 29, 1984, Daniele Fontana died in Sala Comacina, having been born in Milan on May 15, 1900: a draughtsman, illustrator and painter, known for his satirical work on Il Travaso delle idee and Bertoldo.

On the date. The Italian Wikipedia article that gives 29 September has carried a «sources needed» notice since July 2013, and Wikidata records only the year. The day is confirmed independently by the Dizionario d’Arte Sartori, which gives Sala Comacina (CO), 29 September 1984, together with details absent from Wikipedia — Brera, seventy exhibitions, the 1932 Venice Biennale, the Cantoni prize of 1923.
