St Kitts has 1 UNESCO site: Brimstone Hill Fortress NP (1999), 13 km northwest of Basseterre — the “Gibraltar of the West Indies”, the largest British colonial fortress in the Eastern Caribbean.
Dominica has 1 UNESCO site: Morne Trois Pitons National Park (1997), 8 km east of Roseau — Boiling Lake (2nd largest thermally active lake), Trafalgar Falls, Sisserou parrot habitat.
Grenada has no UNESCO sites. Saint George’s features Fort George (1705), the Carenage harbour, and the Molinière Underwater Sculpture Park. Nearest UNESCO site: Brimstone Hill in St Kitts (300 km NW).
Timor-Leste has no UNESCO sites. Nearest: Komodo NP in Indonesia (1,000 km west, 1991) — home to the world’s largest lizard. Timor-Leste’s own heritage includes the uma lulik sacred house tradition.
Bhutan has no inscribed UNESCO sites. Tashichho Dzong (in Thimphu) and Taktsang Monastery (65 km west) are the most celebrated examples of the distinctive Bhutanese dzong architectural tradition, on the Tentative List.
