Time & Tide along the Liffey: a boat tour with Reg McCabe

The Irish Georgian Society takes to the water on 12 September 2026. Time & Tide along the Liffey is a boat tour led by Reg McCabe, a writer, historian and guide whose subject is the making of Dublin’s waterways.

The route runs up the River Liffey past the Custom House, as far as the Ha’penny Bridge, then back through the Docklands to the Dodder estuary. Seen from midstream the city changes register: eighteenth-century neo-classicism gives way to the glass of the technology quarter within a few hundred metres of quay wall. The vessel is fully licensed and insured.

Two separate departures run on the day, so the time on the ticket matters.
