The Allianz MiCo is a sprawling multipurpose complex on the western edge of central Milan, adjacent to the CityLife residential and commercial development. History
The complex occupies part of the historic Fiera di Milano exhibition grounds, which were partially relocated to Rho-Pero in 2005 to free up this central site. The congress wing designed by Fuksas — notable for its dramatic curved roof — opened in conjunction with the wider Portello urban regeneration project. The Allianz naming sponsorship, announced in 2022, followed the model already adopted by the adjacent Allianz Cloud arena, consolidating the area as a branded events district in the city’s western quadrant.
