History
Built by the British in the early 1920s, Sultan Sulaiman Mosque was officially inaugurated in 1923 by Sultan Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah. It served as Selangor’s principal state mosque until the opening of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque in Shah Alam. The late Sultan Salahuddin was interred in the mosque’s grounds, elevating its spiritual significance.
