Getting there
Ascona is situated on the western shore of Lake Maggiore in Canton Ticino. The nearest railway station is Locarno (approximately 3 km), which is served by SBB Swiss Federal Railways and by the Centovalli Railway from Domodossola, Italy. Regular bus services connect Locarno station with Ascona’s lakeside centre. Car access is via the A13 motorway from the north; parking is available at the edge of the pedestrianised historic centre.
