History

During the nineteenth century, the monastery fell victim to the Ecclesiastical Confiscations of Mendizábal, a period of state seizure of Church property that reshaped Spain’s religious landscape. The buildings were subsequently repurposed and have continued to function as a seminary into the modern era.
