History
Built between 1902 and 1905, the church was designed by Swiss architect Karl Moser during the height of the Art Nouveau movement. A significant restoration in 2009 addressed the organ and structural elements, including the replacement of the instrument and the return of the celebrated Angel Window to the North gallery.
What you see
The facade features a relief sculpture depicting the Apostle Paul with a sword, establishing a clear iconographic focus. The bell tower rises 36 metres and houses five bells. Inside, Max Laeuger’s stained glass windows from Lörrach illuminate the space with colour and light. The interior vault received careful restoration during 2009.
The organ, rebuilt by Metzler of Dietikon in 2009, contains 37 stops and 2,294 pipes and returned to Moser’s original 1905 placement at the front of the church.
