Overview
Il Cortile stands among the vineyards of the comune of Diano d’Alba, in the Province of Cuneo, with a view over Serralunga and Monforte. The archive entry says the building recalls the old cascine of the Langhe.
The rooms are furnished in traditional style; the osteria serves in the evening, with the wines of the district — Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Barolo.
History
The osteria took part in the fourth series of 4 Ristoranti, broadcast in 2018, in the fourth episode: the contest for the best under-thirty restaurant of the Langhe and Roero, against Ristorante Museum, Eremo della Gasprina and Osteria la Pimpinella. The episode was won by Museum.
The programme 4 Ristoranti, led by the chef Alessandro Borghese, sets four restaurants of the same area against one another; each host eats at the others and marks them.
