Overview
Music in Village is an international music festival based at Pordenone, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, run by the Associazione Culturale Complotto Adriatico. The archive entry calls it one of the longest-lived in the region.
It has always been meant as a meeting as much as a concert season, bringing people together around music and around the food and wine of the district.
History
Over the years the festival has had the support of the Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the Province and the Comune of Pordenone and the Fondazione Friuli/CRUP.
Concerts by rock and contemporary artists have been held in settings of historical and cultural interest — Pordenone itself and Sesto al Reghena — and of natural interest, at Cordenons, in the Magredi of the Parareit area, and at Brugnera and Villa Varda. Its «Estensioni» have carried the music outside the province, to Gradisca d’Isonzo, Marano Lagunare, Muggia, Muzzana del Turgnano, Duino Aurisina and Grado.
