History
Established in 1967 by the Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society, the museum originally occupied premises near the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens on Lord Baden Powell Drive. In the late 1990s, Wagga Wagga City Council assumed operations and consolidated the Lord Baden Powell Drive buildings. The Historic Council Chambers, located at the corner of Baylis and Morrow Streets, opened as a second site in 1999 following completion of the new Wagga Wagga Civic Centre.
