History
Founded in 1936 by Alfonsas Kaikaris (1922–1997), a professor of pharmacy, the museum began with his personal collection of medical and pharmaceutical objects. The Lithuanian Pharmacists’ Union contributed significantly to expanding its holdings. In 1987, the museum relocated to its present location in the Old Town, where it gained prominence as an institutional archive and teaching resource.
