Lamborghini Museum

Sant’Agata Bolognese, Emilia-Romagna

Lamborghini Museum

The official repository of Lamborghini’s automotive heritage, housing iconic supercars from the brand’s founding in 1963 to the present day.

At a glance

Located within the Lamborghini production facility itself, the museum occupies building number one—a symbolic choice for the company’s headquarters. The two-floor exhibition spans the complete history of the Italian manufacturer, from the groundbreaking 350 GT to contemporary prototypes and concept vehicles.

History

Opened in 2001 as the official museum of Lamborghini, the institution has grown alongside the brand. A major renovation occurred in June 2016, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Miura supercar, overseen with the counsel of Antonio Ghini. The museum underwent further expansion in summer 2019, when it adopted a new name—MUDETEC—to reflect its expanded role and exhibition capacity.

What you see

The exhibition galleries present both historical narrative and forward-looking vision. A dedicated family tree displays all major models produced by the company, while the current collection includes the legendary 350 GT and Sesto Elemento alongside concept vehicles such as the Veneno and Miura Concept. A prominent section honors the Miura, whose iconic lines were designed by Marcello Gandini of the Bertone studio—a benchmark of avant-garde technology and timeless design.

Cultural significance

The Lamborghini Museum documents the evolution of the supercar as a cultural and engineering phenomenon. It preserves the legacy of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s vision and showcases how the brand—now owned by the Volkswagen-Audi group—has maintained its identity as a symbol of Italian innovation and design excellence across decades.
