History
Built in 1981 under contract with Taiwan’s Civil Aeronautics Administration, the museum was constructed by Boeing. It operated as a public institution for over three decades until closure on March 31, 2014. The shutdown was necessitated by planned expansion—specifically construction of Terminal 3 and relocation of taxiway WC at the airport. During the second half of 2014, all eighteen aircraft and stored items were relocated to Taoyuan Naval Base.
