History
Founded in 1992 by Shi Wen-long of Chi Mei Corporation, the museum began as a private venture in Rende District, Tainan. In 2014, the collection relocated to its current venue on Wenhua Road, opening its doors more broadly to the public while maintaining selective closure on designated days.
