This work was possibly executed by George Vaughan Maddox, a prolific architect of the early Victorian period known for institutional and commercial commissions across Wales.
By the twentieth century, the building’s function shifted. It was converted from a hotel to residential apartments, reflecting changing patterns of travel and accommodation in the modern era.
