Art and nature come together in an ancient oriental discipline, which has its origins in Japan, China and South Korea. This two-handed contribution gives life to simply incredible masterpieces, where beauty and harmony of forms merge with a wise knowledge of botany and, therefore, of nature. Thus a bonsai is born: a miniature tree placed in a neutral or brightly colored pot.
A bonsai is like a picture in motion, which changes its appearance according to the four seasons. It is a complex art, which should not be neglected and which needs care and attention throughout the year. If you want to get an idea of what a bonsai is, then we can move to Italy (yes, you got it right, there is no need to go to the Far East!), Precisely to the Crespi Bonsai Museum, one of the most unique spaces and details from all over Europe.
The Crespi Bonsai Museum was founded in 1991 in Parabiagio, a few kilometers from Milan. It is the first permanent museum in the world dedicated to bonsai, strongly desired by Luigi Crespi, its founding father. The small museum contains jewels of fine workmanship and of great historical importance.
Its initial permanent core has then improved over the years and now offers itself not only as an exhibition cultural path, but has other very interesting collateral activities, such as the University of Bonsai, a clinic dedicated to retirement and bonsai care, shops that sell both bonsai and all the material necessary for their care (and it is a real universe to discover), training courses and annual seminars that are held in relation to particular seasons of the year, dedicated to autumn colors or blooms spring.
