The Kyoto National Museum is one of three former imperial museums along with those in Tokyo and Nara, Japan. The museum is located in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto. The collections of the Kyoto National Museum focus primarily on pre-modern Japanese and Asian art.
1897 year 30 the museum takes the name imperial museum.
