visita guidata: IL COLOMBARIO DI POMPONIO HYLAS
Una sotterranea sepoltura costruita e parzialmente scavata nella roccia nella prima metà del I secolo d.C., è caratterizzata da un ricco apparato figurativo, composto da eleganti affreschi e raffinati stucchi. All’interno della camera funeraria sono presenti un mosaico in paste vitree e conchiglie, iscrizioni su tabelline in marmo e olle cinerarie con i resti dei defunti. Un vero e proprio gioiello dell’arte funeraria romana.
