The ‘Cliffs of Insanity’ that Westley scales in The Princess Bride (1987) are the Cliffs of Moher, the great wall of rock that drops more than two hundred metres into the Atlantic on Ireland’s western edge. Rob Reiner’s fairy tale gave the cliffs one of their most quoted moments on screen.
