Nascita di Vittorio Jano
Vittorio Jano (San Giorgio Canavese, 22 aprile 1891 – Torino, 13 marzo 1965) fu progettista di motori e vetture da competizione. Entrato in Fiat nel 1911, dal 1923 fu capo progettista dell’Alfa Romeo, per cui disegnò la P2 (1924) e la P3, oltre alle 6C e 8C stradali. Passò poi alla Lancia e alla Ferrari. La sua opera è documentata da Cultural Heritage Online nel quadro della storia dell’ingegneria automobilistica italiana.
