Nascita di Secondo Campini
Secondo Campini (Bologna, 28 agosto 1904 – Milano, 7 febbraio 1980), ingegnere e pioniere della propulsione a getto, ideò il «motoreattore», un motore a reazione in cui il compressore è mosso da un motore a pistoni. Il suo Caproni Campini N.1 volò nel 1940 e fu ritenuto il primo aereo a reazione del mondo, finché non emerse il volo segreto, avvenuto un anno prima, del tedesco Heinkel He 178.
