Birth Anniversary: Gino Boccasile — July 14, 1901
Gino Boccasile (Bari, 14 July 1901 – Milan, 10 May 1952), illustrator and poster artist, was one of the most skilful graphic designers of the period, known for the «Signorina Grandi Firme». He also made propaganda posters for the regime and, during the war, for the Italian Social Republic: a course that makes him as technically remarkable as he is historically contested.
