Music at the Archaeological Park of Selinunte
The Archaeological Park of Selinunte, one of the largest archaeological parks in Europe, opens its summer season of music, dance and theatre. The programme is run by CoopCulture, which manages the park’s visitor services; among the first appointments are a concert by saxophonist Jimmy Sax and a tribute to the music of Ornella Vanoni.
The setting does half the work: evenings unfold among the Doric temples of the ancient Greek city, with the sea close by. For readers planning a western-Sicily itinerary, these dates pair naturally with a daytime visit to the park and the quarries of Cusa.
