Francesco Agello (Casalpusterlengo, 27 December 1902 – Bresso, 24 November 1942), holder with the Macchi M.C.72 of the world speed record for piston-engined seaplanes (709 km/h, 1934), died in an accident while testing a Macchi C.202 fighter in fog, near Milan.
