Alessandro Marchetti (Cori, 16 giugno 1884 – Sesto Calende, 5 dicembre 1966), progettista degli idrovolanti S.55 delle trasvolate atlantiche e del bombardiere S.M.79 «Sparviero», morì a Sesto Calende, sede della SIAI Savoia-Marchetti. Anniversario documentato da Cultural Heritage Online.
