Lavori in Corso — group exhibition of contemporary art from Molise, Mafalda (CB)

The Centro Polivalente Comunale in Mafalda, a small town in the province of Campobasso, is hosting Lavori in Corso — «Work in Progress» — an exhibition conceived as the first step towards a future Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art dedicated to artists from Molise.

Curated by Cosetta Mastragostino, with a critical text by Lorenzo Canova, the show gathers work by eighteen artists: Mauro Angelone, Nino Barone, Paolo Borelli, Fausto Colavecchia, Baldo Diodato, Barbara Esposito, Michelangelo Janigro, Cinzia Laurelli, Dante Gentile Lorusso, Vincenzo Mascia, Cosetta Mastragostino, Vincenzo Merola, Achille Pace, Massimo Palumbo, Michele Peri, Luciana Picchiello, Mauro Presutti, and Tito and Ivana Volpe.

The title is meant literally: the show is presented not as a finished survey but as the working nucleus of the collection the gallery would hold, assembled to make the case for it.
