Death Anniversary: Enrico Accatino — July 2007

01 July 2027
RomeMuseum of Rome in Trastevere

Enrico Accatino died in Rome in July 2007, at 86. He had taught since the Fifties, at every level of the school system, and wrote the manuals on which a generation of Italian art teachers was trained; his paintings, sculptures and tapestries are in public collections including the Galleria Nazionale in Rome. In 1970 his Passion Tapestries opened Sala 1, the Rome exhibition space that showed him again in 2024.

The day is not established. The month and the year are the same in the sources we checked; the day (16 July) appears only in secondary pages, and the exhibition page of Sala 1 gives the year alone. Until it is confirmed, this anniversary is carried at the first of the month.

Do you know more?

On this page we have published only what we were able to verify. About the exact day of Enrico Accatino’s death we could not find a reliable source. If you know it — from a parish or civil register, a death notice, a catalogue, a monograph, a family paper — write to Sofia, who looks after these pages. Anything else about this artist is welcome too: works, exhibitions, photographs, documents.
