Photo: Unknown author — Public domain (Wikimedia Commons) Annibale Rigotti died in Turin on 8 March 1968, aged ninety-seven. Born in the same city in 1870 and trained at the Accademia Albertina, he had been one of the Italian architects who served the government of Siam, and had worked on the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall in Bangkok. His life spanned the whole arc of the Italian presence in Siam, which ran from 1868 to about 1930, and then sixty years more.
