Alida Valli died in Rome on 22 April 2006. She had been working since the late 1930s; in 1942 she appeared in four Italian releases, among them Goffredo Alessandrini’s adaptation of Ayn Rand’s We the Living, released in two parts as Noi vivi and Addio Kira.
