Death Anniversary: Adam Falckenhagen — October 6, 1754
He died in Bayreuth on 6 October 1754, where he had been appointed court lutenist and chamber musician to Margravine Wilhelmine of Bayreuth. His published lute sonatas and concertos represent the glorious final twilight of the baroque lute repertoire in Germany, fusing polyphonic craft with the new galant style.
