Photo: Unknown author — Public domain (Wikimedia Commons) Annibale Rigotti was born in Turin on 30 October 1870 and studied at the Accademia Albertina. Architect, teacher, designer and town planner, he was one of the Italians who worked for the Siamese government in the decades when Rama V and Rama VI were rebuilding Bangkok, and he worked on the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall. Unlike several of his colleagues, he went home: he died in Turin in 1968, at ninety-seven.
